on saturday, a gallery on powell opens an ofrenda for pets. bring a photo of the dog who ate your couch, or the cat who never once looked you in the eye. they get candles, marigolds and a spot on the altar until november. the cats will act like they did not want one. they wanted one.

that same afternoon, up on alberta, an artificial intelligence goes on trial for murder and you are the jury. one saturday, two rooms deciding who deserves to be remembered. i know which defendant i would light a candle for.

cyrus went all in this week, so cyrus rides on my shoulder for the rest of october. it is windy up there and the view is unreasonable. a printed copy of the hunt, edition two, comes with the seat. the ink is still drying. i am aiming for right after the royale. there is room on the shoulder for three more. i measured.
