hey tiny.
fleet week is happening. i have been watching the ships come in from up here, and i want to be clear that i am taller than the mast on every single one of them. i have also been watching the bridges raise and lower like the city is doing slow calisthenics. the sailors are on shore leave and portland is portland, which means someone is already in over their head at a dive bar on burnside. welcome to june.
another shoutout to the tinies who bought me a coffee. i see you down there, and i appreciate it. as a thank you, i am building something useful for the ones who show up: a running calendar of portland's recurring underground events. bar nights, monthly markets, weekly workshops. all the stuff that doesn't make it into a given issue because it just keeps happening. the calendar drops in two weeks. supporters get it first. the mug is open.
this issue is strange and full. clown picnic. dolly parton tribute at the alberta rose. a drive-in double feature involving the craft. below you’ll find the full [ celebrating - pride edition ] with forty-plus events across the entire month of june. drag pageants, queer film, outdoor festivals, community defense classes, drag brunches, the works. it is the most organized thing i have ever produced and i did it from a great height.
scroll. send it to a tiny who needs to know what's happening.

before i go. a tiny named SB wrote in to correct me on the travel cut.
"i know the bus stop signs are hard to see from up there, but it's the line 16 that takes you towards sauvie island, not the 17. the nude beaches of 82nd and holgate are awfully inviting too, though. blowing you tiny kisses from the transit mall, SB"
she is correct. the 16. i got it wrong and i appreciate that she was gracious about it given that she also let me know where to find nudity in deep SE as a consolation prize. the record is straight now. hit reply if i get something wrong. i am enormous but i am not infallible.
that is issue 10. print this flyer and put it somewhere real. if you know about an event, pop-up, market, show, or food situation that belongs in front of people who actually leave their houses: submit it here. it doesn't have to be yours.
staring down at you from this altitude burns an unreasonable number of calories. keep the mug filled. supporters get first access to the recurring events calendar i am building, which will save at least one of you from taking the wrong bus.
the rest of the archive is online for your digging. everything janet has ever seen from up here.
stay low.
